October 23, 2024: Understanding Your Results from the CCWS: Orienting to the data, statistics, and Tableau

Join us for an insightful webinar led by Dr. Andrew Szeto, the Director of Mental Health Strategy at the University of Calgary, as he guides you through the CCWS Tableau Dashboard reporting tool. This session offers a comprehensive orientation on how to navigate and interpret the figures, numbers, and statistics presented in Tableau. Caroline Wu and Lex Derkach from the CCWS team will be joining Dr. Andrew Szeto for this webinar to provide some history and context, demonstrate accessing Tableau, and help answer your questions. Participants will have the opportunity to follow along on their own dashboards, enhancing their understanding in real-time.
July 16, 2024: Using CCWS Data to Inform Institutional Practices

Following a brief overview of the CCWS (presented by Professor Guy Faulkner), the first part of this presentation features three institutional case studies who have implemented the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS) and how the data has informed their institutional practices. The second part of the webinar is led by Dhruvi Nishar, a CCWS Analyst who provides an in-depth technical overview of the CCWS Tableau dashboard reporting tool. Institutions that participate in the CCWS receive dashboards that include their survey results and survey results from other institutions, which provide comparison data. Attendees will learn how to access and navigate these interactive reports, including key functions such as how to use filters to look at specific groups of students.

This webinar will explore some Canadian postsecondary student trends. Attendees will learn about how to participate and what sets the CCWS apart in terms of reporting capabilities and actionable data. The presentation will also include insights from a participating institution, McGill University. Discussions about the benefits, determining campus readiness and knowledge translation and mobilization will be shared.

This presentation provides an overview of provincial results, demonstrates the feedback mechanism through which data is communicated to institutions, and highlights examples of how the CCWS research database is being used. Perspectives on the tableau interface through which results are communicated (Jeff Burrow, University of Toronto) and how the CCWS is being used by one institution (Matt Dolf, University of British Columbia) are shared.
